“FIFA” is changing to “EA Sports Football Club”

EA said last year it was reviewing the naming rights for the series with FIFA, but hadn't revealed anything to us yet.

EA's FIFA football series is reportedly changing its name to EA Sports Football Club. The rumor comes from Jeff Grubb, who announced on his show that his sources claim the decision to change the name follows issues with the International Football Federation, which the franchise is named after.

Specifically, Jeff Grubb stated:

“I saw various trademarks, I thought it might just be another online mode, but I asked around about it and this is it—this is the new name.”

Following reports last month, CEO Andrew Wilson claimed in an internal meeting that the FIFA license is a hurdle to the publisher's ambitions for the football series, arguing that FIFA had prevented EA from expanding beyond the usual game modes, and the only value the FIFA license brings in a non-World Cup year is “four letters on the front of the box.”

Last October, it was reported that EA was exploring the idea of dropping the FIFA name from its games, as the current deal expires later this year and FIFA reportedly wants more than double the amount it currently gets from EA to renew its license.

FIFA 23 probably won't be released this year as we all expected; instead, get ready to welcome EA Sports FC 23.

Call of Duty Season 2 Reloaded is now available for Warzone and this mid-season update brings significant map changes; with the event being limited-time, it features Easter Eggs to reward you on Rebirth Island. You can now complete the Easter Eggs and earn the free loadout and the Specialist Token for your next match on Rebirth Island.

Many areas of Rebirth Island have been updated. However, easter egg hunter Geeky Pastimes discovered that not all areas have changed. The previous Easter Egg location in the “Red Room” of Rebirth Island is home to new easter eggs.

How to get the free loadout drop

To complete the loadout Easter Egg, you'll need to start your match by heading to the “Red Room” on the bottom floor of the building. Inside, there is a keycard that says Vikhor’s keycard.

With the keycard in hand, head to the island's new Stronghold location. You'll need to take the keycard to the large tower at the back of Stronghold, where you'll head inside the base of the tower to find a vault full of locked safety deposit boxes.

How to get the free Specialist Token

In the same room of the Stronghold tower, there is also a locked box that requires an item called the Forgotten keycard, which is an item found at the Bio Weapons location on the map. You'll need to head to the bottom floor of the building and the keycard should be on the floor near the sinks.

 

You will use the keycard at the Stronghold tower with the locked chest in the vault labeled for the Forgotten keycard. This keycard offers even greater rewards than the Vikhor keycard, as this box will unlock to provide Specialist Tokens, which is the rare item that gives you all the perks in the game. This Easter Egg will grant Specialist Tokens for every team member and a free loadout drop.

Snoop Dogg added as a character in Call Of Duty

The famous rapper and actor Snoop Dogg is officially coming to Call of Duty as a playable character. He will be available in Call of Duty: Warzone, Mobile, and Vanguard, confirming previous rumors. Developer Sledgehammer Games revealed that he will be available via the Snoop Dogg Operator Bundle during Season 2 Reloaded, which kicks off this week.

This isn't Snoop's first time in Call of Duty, as he lent his voice to Call of Duty: Ghosts (in 2013) years ago, but this is the first time he is a playable character in Call of Duty. Players will be able to purchase the bundle to play and unlock new items and skins for him. The bundle in Warzone and Vanguard will include ten items, three of which will be exclusive to Vanguard, and a full progression track. You can find more about the bundle here.

Snoop Dogg will arrive in Call of Duty: Mobile on April 1, 2022. You will be able to play as his character using the Lucky Draw feature in the mobile version of CoD.

He will arrive in Warzone and Vanguard on April 19, 2022. From that point on, you'll be able to purchase the Snoop Dogg Operator Bundle.

Raven Software announced a teaser hinting at how the Rebirth Island map is changing in Call of Duty: Warzone in Season 2 Reloaded.

Season 2 in Call of Duty: Warzone has been live for several weeks. While most of the exciting additions arrived with the season launch, Call of Duty: Warzone players have been patiently waiting for the mid-season update to see what Rebirth Reinforced is all about.

For now, details on the new version of Rebirth Island are scarce, though the new map was showcased in the official page's post detailing the new content for Call of Duty: Warzone Season 2. Raven Software promised "substantial changes" to the map and shared an image of what appears to be a new area.

Daniel Radcliffe admitted that “never say never” regarding a return to the Harry Potter franchise in the future.

Daniel Radcliffe recently met with Rupert Grint and Emma Watson to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.

In the HBO episode, the stars and directors of the beloved franchise shared their favorite memories from working on the films.

Speaking to the New York Times, Radcliffe shut down hopes of playing Harry Potter in the play “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” although he didn't rule out returning to the franchise entirely. Specifically, he said.

“This isn't the answer anyone would want, but I think I was able to go back and enjoy it because it's no longer part of my daily life.”

“I'm reaching a point where I feel like I've made it as Harry Potter and I'm very happy where I am right now, and going back would be such a massive change in my life.”

However, discussing a potential return in the future, Radcliffe mentioned his experience with Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, and Harrison Ford appearing in Star Wars: The Force Awakens in 2015 (30 years later). He believes that for him, returning is still too early because only 10 years have passed.

A few hours ago we informed you about The Quarry, the new game from Supermassive Games and of course it's another horror game. At 18:00 Greek time, the creators of Until Dawn revealed the new trailer for the game.

The Quarry is a summer camp experience gone slightly wrong—specifically, nine teenagers at Hackett’s Quarry summer camp find themselves hunted by sinister locals and a deadly predator. The game stars David Arquette (Scream), Ariel Winter (Modern Family), Justice Smith (Pokémon Detective Pikachu), Brenda Song (Dollface), Lance Henriksen (Aliens), and Lin Shaye (Insidious).

The game is another title like The Dark Pictures Anthology series, consisting of various characters you can play as with your friends in co-op. You'll be able to play with up to 7 friends. The group can either have one player per character or vote together on all major decisions.

Supermassive Games revealed a short one-minute trailer for its new game, The Quarry.

Supermassive Games is set to release The Dark Pictures: The Devil In Me this year, and just a short while ago, they announced a second game under development for this year.

Apart from this mini trailer we can see, details for The Quarry are currently quite sparse, with Supermassive Games only stating that the “all-new horror experience” will arrive this summer.
